Biegną szumnie, tłumnie powikłaną zgrają,

A nie żyją nigdy, tylko umierają -

Umierają, skomląc, szereg za szeregiem.

Śmierć jest dla nich właśnie tym po lasach biegiem,

Śmierć jest dla nich pędem w niepochwytne cienie -

Biegną tylko po to, aby śnić istnienie.

Świat im śni się w biegu - daleki i bliski,

Śnią się własne ślepie, śnią się własne pyski,
